Award-winning Pittsburgh artist Megan Paullet is quickly emerging as one of the region’s most compelling voices. What began with a thirteen-track pink Nectar MP3 player and countless hours riding in her dad’s truck listening to Frank Zappa, Led Zeppelin, Whitney Houston, and Janis Joplin eventually blossomed into a dynamic career that bridges neo-soul, funk, and pop-rock with striking authenticity. Backed by the HR Department, Megan has crafted a sound described as a vibrant melting pot of soul, groove, and high-voltage rock.
Megan’s standout performances have earned praise from critics including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, while her resume continues to grow with collaborations and appearances alongside the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Emmy Award-winning artist FRZY, Los Lonely Boys, Petey Pablo, John Hall (Orleans), Josh Gallagher (NBC’s The Voice), Andy Patalan (Sponge), Mike Massé, and Jason Hartless (Ted Nugent). She has headlined notable Pittsburgh venues such as Stage AE, the Greer Cabaret Theater, the Original Pittsburgh Winery, and Picklesburgh, and has taken the stage at Heinz Hall, PPG Paints Arena, Mr. Smalls Funhouse, and many more. Her performances have also reached audiences across the U.S., including appearances at Nietzsche’s Live Music Bar (Buffalo, NY), Art On the Square (Belleville, IL), and the Peace Valley Barefoot Festival (Shelton, WA). Most recently, she was awarded “Best Singer/Songwriter” in the Iron City Rocks Music Awards and performed at Highmark First Night, Pittsburgh’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
This New Year’s Eve, Megan Paullet & the HR Department take the stage downtown to ring in 2026 with their biggest milestone yet: the release of their debut single, “I Just Wanna Stay Home,” dropping at midnight.
