GBU Life SING-OFF Competition

Applications are now open for the 2025-2026 GBU Life SING-OFF Competition.

Every year, the GBU Life SING-OFF Competition awards the local student (grades: 6-12) singer with the voice of the year, with an opportunity to perform live in the Cultural District at Highmark First Night Pittsburgh on New Year's Eve, a $500 cash prize, and $1,000 donation to the student's school music department.

Do you have the voice of the year? Singers in grades 6 - 12 whose video-auditions edge out the competition will be named finalists in the GBU Life SING-OFF Competition and evaluated by this year's Special Guest Judge, Justin Wirick, cast member of the WICKED National Tour!

The GBU Life SING-OFF Competition winner will receive:

Eligibility

Individual students or student groups of 20 or fewer, grades 6-12 affiliated with a middle or high school within 150 miles of downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania are eligible to enter.

Auditions

The deadline to submit your video audition is Sunday, December 1, 2025 at 11:59 PM.

About the Judge

Special Guest Judge Justin Wirick

WICKED National Tour Cast Member

Justin Wirick (Ensemble) is a proud Pennsylvania native and has been a dedicated member of the Wicked national tour since January 2010, performing in over 4,000 shows. He is a travel enthusiast, event planner, fundraising coordinator, and self-proclaimed Wicked historian.
